How do I fix a fluctuating flow rate in my metering pump?
I have an issue with maintaining a consistent flow rate in my metering pump? I've noticed fluctuations, especially when dosing viscous fluids. I’ve tried adjusting the pump speed, but it’s still not quite stable. Any suggestions for troubleshooting this, or other solutions to fix the issue?
Hello Mark,
Fluctuating flow rates can be caused by a few factors. It’s great that you’ve already looked into adjusting the pump speed. You might also want to check the stroke length and ensure the pump’s valves are functioning properly. In some cases, clogging or wear in the valve seats can disrupt flow consistency. If you're working with more viscous fluids, it might help to upgrade to a pump with higher viscosity handling capabilities. If you'd like, we can take a closer look at the model you’re using and suggest specific tweaks to stabilize the flow.
